
The Lely Community Development District was established in 1990 to provide for the financing and operations of one of Southwest Florida’s largest master planned communities. With 1,500 acres and over 9,000 approved residential units, Lely Resort is a former Community of the Year. Community Development Districts are a subdivision of State government and are created by the Board of County Commissioners. The District is overseen by a 5 member Board of Directors who are elected public officials.
