Southwest Florida's premier master planned community The Lely Community Development District was established in 1990 to provide for the financing and operations of one of Southwest Florida’s largest master planned communities. With 1,500 acres and over 9,000 approved residential units, Lely Resort is a former Community of the Year. Community Development Districts are a subdivision of State government and are created by the Board of County Commissioners. The District is overseen by a 5 member Board of Directors who are elected public officials.

SUPERVISOR VACANCY

The Board of Supervisors of the Lely Community Development District (LCDD) is requesting applicants for the position of supervisor to fill a vacancy following a recent resignation. The LCDD is an independent special purpose government established under chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes.

The current term will expire in November of 2024. The District maintains a website at www.lelycdd.com that provides financial and background information of duties and responsibilities.
